Sutherlandia

Sutherlandia is an indigenous South African plant, mostly found in the Karoo. For ages the people of South Africa used it as a medicinal herb. It was popularly called the "cancer bush" because of one of its profound abilities, namely to restore the wasted bodies of cancer patients.

The bush became internationally renowned for its healing qualities and consequently we started shipping it out to other regions where patients with wasting conditions greatly benefit from it. Meanwhile the Medical Research Council of South Africa and the National Research Foundation took their time to analyse the plant for its scientific value and possible toxicity. The final report came out in April 2002 and the bush was cleared from any danger of toxicity. Soon after this we saw the product slowly entering our own markets. According to Section 15 of the Medicines and related Substances Control Act, 1965, (Act 101 of 1965) there is clearance for the product (NAPPI code 700873-001).

The most remarkable results following the use of Sutherlandia are:

Depression: a remarkable modification of mood, especially from depression back to a positive state of mind;

Sleeplessness: calmative and stress reduction qualities restore normal sleeping patterns; and

Wound healing: persistent wounds not responding to other treatment, heal from inside out.

Wasting: restoration of bodily strength in patients with wasting conditions, like cancer, AIDS and TB;

Antiviral and anti-microbial agent: infections are overcome and viral load in the blood is lowered;

Immune boosting: we aim to keep the HIV+ person healthy for as long as possible. To this end we strive to raise the immune cell count (CD4) and lower the viral load (HIV). While nutrition is the best way of boosting the CD4 count of HIV+ people, Sutherlandia proved to be the most effective natural way of lowering the viral count, even before the person is due for Anti-retrovirals. It does not cure the infection, but it seems to have extremely positive effects on the infection. Other people with compromised immune systems for various different reasons, react extremely favourable as well. If a viral or other infection strikes, however, they seem to overcome the infection in a much shorter space of time than before by using Sterolandia 50 containing Sutherlandia.

Although Sutherlandia is a powerful herb in itself, it seems as if it is more beneficial to the user when taken with digestive enzymes as found in Sterolandia 50 than just on its own.
